MAYDAY Healthcare is proud to be partnering with a well-established, people-focused aged care organisation seeking an experienced Health & Safety Business Partner to join their national safety team.
This is a hands-on, broad HSE role
where you’ll partner closely with aged care homes across NSW, support investigations, and play a key role in driving safety outcomes across the business
The Opportunity:
You’ll step into a highly visible position, working in a small, collaborative office environment with direct access to senior leadership, including the CEO and COO. This role offers genuine scope to influence, as well as the opportunity to step up and grow within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support incident investigations
- Conduct health & safety audits and drive improvements
- Work closely with regulators and ensure compliance
- Partner with Regional Managers and operational leaders
- Develop and maintain SOPs, policies, and investigation reports
- Analyse data to identify trends and support problem-solving initiatives
- Collaborate with injury management teams (self-insured environment)
About You
- Proven experience in a Health & Safety Business Partner / Advisor role (3–5+ years)
- Strong communication and influencing skills – able to engage and guide stakeholders
- Confident working autonomously in a hands-on environment
- Solid analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capability
- Excellent written skills (reporting, investigations, documentation)
- Experience within healthcare or aged care is highly regarded, but not essential
We also welcome candidates from other structured, compliance-driven industries such as: manufacturing,hospitality, or retail.
This role is suited to a seasoned professional – junior candidates will not be considered.
