MAYDAY was founded with a simple belief: recruitment should feel human.


When we opened our doors, we didn’t want to be the biggest agency, but we did want to be the one people remembered for how we made them feel. For showing up. For caring. For doing the right thing, even when it took more time or effort.

The Beginnings of A Shared Vision.

Following rapid growth in the corporate sector, multi-award-winning MAYDAY Recruitment Group spotted a significant gap in the healthcare market. Organisations needed a recruitment partner who combined speed, deep industry knowledge and our signature ‘Care Factor’—and that’s how MAYDAY Healthcare was born.


In 2023, the directors joined forces with healthcare recruitment expert Siobhan Filen to translate MAYDAY’s core values of care and urgency into the healthcare sector. With a clear vision to expand services for existing clients while supporting new healthcare organisations, MAYDAY Healthcare officially launched, bringing fast, reliable and care-led recruitment to the industry.

Meet Siobhan, Managing Director.

Siobhan leads MAYDAY Healthcare with a deep understanding of the industry and a genuine passion shaped by her own family’s nursing background. Having seen firsthand the impact that dedicated healthcare professionals make every single day, she brings both heart and expertise to every partnership.


With extensive experience recruiting across healthcare and specialist clinical sectors, the MAYDAY Healthcare team has become a trusted advisor to hospitals, clinics and community organisations needing reliable, highly skilled people.

2016 – MAYDAY Group Begins

July 4, MAYDAY Recruitment launched into the Sydney market.

2018 – Welcome MAYDAY Blue

Launched MAYDAY Blue (now MAYDAY Technical).

2018 – Employee Programs

Introduced key programs including our Buddy Program to support onboarding and MAYDAY Awards to recognise excellence.

From temp to perm – the first permanent division was established.

2024 – Expansion


Opened official Melbourne office and Sydney moved to a bigger HQ.
