The Opportunity
As the Nurse Unit Manager, you'll be responsible for the operational and clinical leadership of the perioperative department.
Working closely with senior hospital leadership and visiting specialists, you'll play an integral role in workforce planning, service development, quality improvement initiatives and the ongoing success of the department.
About You
You'll be an experienced perioperative nurse leader who enjoys developing people, driving positive change and creating an environment where teams can thrive.
To be successful, you'll have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Previous leadership experience as a Nurse Unit Manager, Associate NUM, Clinical Nurse or other senior perioperative leadership position.
- Recent experience within a perioperative environment (Scrub/Scout, Anaesthetics or PACU).
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing staffing, budgets, quality improvement and operational performance.
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding patient outcomes and supporting team development.
