We are currently seeking Registered Nurses on a casual or contract basis to support the delivery of respite care and general nursing care to children and young people with complex health needs. The Role
The primary responsibilities of this role include providing respite care and general nursing care to children with life‑limiting and complex conditions. You will:
- Deliver high‑quality, compassionate respite care , supporting children and families in a safe and nurturing environment
- Provide general nursing care , including personal care, monitoring, and symptom support
- Support children with a range of medical and developmental needs during respite stays
- Assist with medication administration and routine clinical care in line with individual care plans
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and carers
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, family‑centred care
- Ensure all care aligns with NMBA Standards and NSQHS Standards
- Contribute to a calm, respectful, and compassionate team culture
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 2–3 years post‑graduate RN experience
- Experience in paediatrics, community nursing, disability, hospice, respite, or complex care settings
- A genuine passion for providing respite and general nursing care to children and families
- Confidence delivering day‑to‑day nursing care to children with complex needs
- Excellent communication skills and a warm, empathetic approach
- Ability to work flexibly across casual or contract shifts (including weekends or evenings, if required)
