You’re the nurse patients remember.
The one who calms a nervous parent before a vaccination, spots the details others miss, and keeps the treatment room running smoothly.
We're seeking a Registered Nurse
to join a well-established GP practice in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. Supporting a team of five experienced GPs, you'll enjoy the autonomy to manage the treatment room while becoming a valued part of a close-knit, community-focused team.
This is an opportunity to build genuine relationships with patients, work across a broad scope of practice, and make a real impact every day.
What Your Days Will Look Like
No two days are exactly the same, but you can expect to be involved in:
- Childhood, adult and travel vaccinations
- Delivering the National Immunisation Program schedule
- Managing vaccine stock and maintaining cold chain compliance
- Cannulation
- Wound care and dressings
- ECGs and spirometry
- Assisting GPs with procedures
- Chronic disease management
- Health assessments and care plans
- Recalls and reminders
- Infection control and accreditation activities
- General treatment room management
Why Nurses Like This Role
✅ Monday to Friday only
✅ Consistent daytime hours (typically 8:30am-4:30pm or 9:00am-5:00pm)
✅ Supportive and approachable GP team
✅ Annual CPR updates and ongoing professional development
Who We're Looking For
This role would suit an experienced General Practice Nurse, but we're equally interested in speaking with newer nurses who have completed the required training and are eager to build their career in primary care.
You'll need:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Immunisation certification, including childhood and paediatric vaccinations
- Ability to administer the National Immunisation Program schedule
- Completed cannulation training
- Current CPR certification
- Current Working with Children Check
Most importantly, you'll be confident working independently, comfortable building relationships with patients and motivated by providing exceptional care within a community-focused setting.
Ready for a role where your clinical skills and independence will be genuinely valued? We'd love to hear from you. Apply now or contact Laura via laura@maydayhealthcare.com.au
